Welcome to The Newcastle Fertility Centre at Life
We are an NHS funded unit based at the International Centre for Life in Newcastle upon Tyne
and we are pleased to see any couple. Your general practitioner or your consultant can refer you
to the Centre.
A comprehensive service for the investigation and treatment of couples with infertility is offered
within purpose built facilities by a dedicated team of medical, scientific and nursing staff.
These include out patient and in patient facilities as well as specialist laboratories.
Investigations available include all the latest techniques available for assessing both male and female
infertility.
Treatments offered
These include:
- Ovulation induction for women who do not have periods
- In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) including the use of donor sperm and eggs and
Intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
- Donor insemination (DI)
- Counselling

Support Services
We recognise the stress that infertility causes couples. We have trained experienced infertility counsellors
within the Centre and also provide an independent counselling service for anyone who requests it.
The patient self-help group, HOPE, is an active local group and we would be happy to put you in touch with them.
